We serve a critical role in providing care to low access areas with patients hailing from 20 states. Your donation to Wellspring directly helps patients access critical health care services, such as abortion, contraception, gynecological and gender-affirming care. A donor-advised fund is a philanthropic giving vehicle that acts like a charitable savings account with a tax benefit to you. You can easily set up a DAF through your financial institution and grant to Wellspring, operating under Circle of Hope Healthcare Services, using our federal EIN #87-1195144.
There are multiple benefits to donating via a DAF. DAFs:
- Allow you to turn your portfolio into impact, supporting reproductive health and rights for individuals around the country.
- Eliminate capital gains on donated stock and have the potential to grow.
- Provide options for recurring gifts and immediate grant-making, enabling Wellspring to offer continuity of care to our patients.
Make a lasting legacy by including Wellspring in your estate plans or other accounts, ensuring support for reproductive justice for years to come. Planned gift options include leaving:
- A stated dollar amount;
- A percentage of your residual estate (i.e. a stated portion of what remains in your estate after gifts to loved ones and expenses have been paid);
- Liquid assets.
If you’re considering a planned gift, you should consult your estate planner. Generally, the process is as simple as including the following information in your will: “I give and bequeath to Wellspring Health Access, operating under Circle of Hope Healthcare Services, at 712 H Street NE, Suite 1825, Washington. D.C., 20002 [ _____ Dollars ($____)] [____ % of the rest, residue and remainder of my estate], to be used for its general charitable purposes.”
Consider designating your planned gift as unrestricted to ensure your funding provides support where it is needed most.
You can also name Wellspring, operating under Circle of Hope Healthcare Services, as a beneficiary on retirement accounts, life insurance policies, bank or investment accounts, donor-advised funds, and other types of accounts. Designating Wellspring as a beneficiary allows the gift to pass directly to the organization without going through the probate process, maximizing its impact. Contact your advisor at the financial institution holding the assets to learn more.
Please let us know when you’ve made a planned gift or designated Wellspring as a beneficiary so that we can thank you. Notify us at hello@wellspringaccess.org.
